The staff at Sunshine Cove believe that all children deserve love, attention, and nurturing. We feel that a safe and friendly environment provides the comfort level needed for a child to freely explore and grow.
In both programs at Sunshine Cove, children have hands-on experiences which foster age appropriate learning. Certified staff listen and encourage children to engage in and explore their curiosity with fun and interesting program planning. We believe that positive reinforcement is critical for children to develop positive self-esteem. Children need an environment that supports free expression and stimulates learning. Most importantly, however, is that children need to have fun!

Emma Glendinning and Sarah Dhillon, both founded Sunshine Cove Preschool in 2012, after working together as a team for the previous four years at North Shore Child Care. Those four years acted as stepping stones providing them with valuable skills and knowledge needed in order to create their own successful preschool.
Sunshine Cove has rapidly grown while servicing the Deep Cove community and beyond with preschool age care and school age care. Sunshine Cove is licensed in BC and must regularly pass many rigorous licensing policies and procedures. Our ongoing professional development through conferences and workshops allow us to be up to date with current educational practices and open our minds to a variety of experiences and outside ideas from other professionals in the field. All of this gives us wonderful inspiration for our program planning for your children!
We are so excited to be able to watch your children, grow, develop, and blossom into their most amazing and authentic selves!
